I am a cosmetologist, an artist, and I love the beauty industry! My clients are my living, breathing, moving canvases on which I share my artistry with the world and I have mastered my craft. A master stylist is also a hair doctor, having a practical knowledge of the science involved – the anatomy, physiology and geometry ( yes geometry!) - and is capable of properly diagnosing problems or deficiencies, prescribing treatments/regimens to correct such issues, performing hair and scalp exams, as well as creating shapes, angles and lines that are pleasing to the eye, balancing facial structure and body shape with a hairstyle, and creating optical illusions to either enhance or diminish certain features. A Hair doctor also understands the three factors that affect the overall health of the hair: 1. DNA; 2. Diet; and 3. Daily Regimen. You don't have to be a hair doctor to know that healthy hair=beautiful hair, regardless of the style you choose. But if you go astray, a hair doctor will direct you back to the right path. A master stylist is born when you marry the artist with the hair doctor... and thus I am.
